I know that there is a band policy that I will be referred to for my gripe but here goes anyway.
The new Fillmore 2-3/ 69 run was alimited addition that sold out within god knows how quickly and it is now gone from us forever apparently. Its one thing to take away stuff and then release it for commercial release I get it but to take awy prime material then its available to a limited(1000 copies I believe) Seems a little unfair. I expect but don't intend to read the boilerplate response> band policy stuff Lots of good show etc> but I just felt I should vent a wee bit. Meanway back to listening to shows

Thank you for listening

I don't listen to GD, but as far as I know, these 'removed shows' as well as all shows by the band are still tradable / can be found on other trader's list the old fashion way:

Find someone that has it, as for a B&P, and boom. you're set.

According to a recent note, trade only if you can find an AUD version, see:
http://userpages.umbc.edu/~hamilton/gdp.txt

Although I expect they wouldn't really object to the trading of "leftovers" (parts of shows that were left out of any commercial release).

Diana, Having read the attachment to your post, surely it must be acceptable to have audience recordings of commercially released shows on the LMA if GDP are happy for them to be traded. After all, the are downloadable audience recordings of some Dick's Picks on the LMA at present.Design or error?

We've been over this ground a lot here too already: individual bands' policies toward regular traders and toward the Internet Archive can and often do differ.

Folks, as regards the Grateful Dead section here, please read this and then move on to other topics, thanks.

Thanks for passing along the new GDP directive, that we are no longer to trade the boards that have been around for years once the late Dick decides to pick.

I hope they let us know when we are to destroy our copies and line up like lemmings to buy the official editted show portions.

I don't think this is really an ISO, I do think that as Deadheads we get spoiled and expect that we have the right to almost any GD shows that are out there. Ultimately, we are able to copy these shows through the good graces of the band (even though, Jerry was reported to have said that once the Dead was through playing, the music belonged to the fans.)I, for one , am always thankful to find shows that I am looking for, and always dl them asap, for fear that for some reason or other they will be pulled, or dissappear from this site. Thanks to all the tapers and others who upload, and to the folks who maintain this site and keep all this great music available to the masses!!!!!

I don't mean it's an ISO. Rather more like a problem akin to the ISO problem. We're seeing repetitive, offtopic chat about some non-Archive GD issues, which would be welcome in a band-specific forum, but perhaps irksome here. Again, dead.net would be a better place to hash this out.

Sigh, are we going to have to get a consensus on whether to delete the rash of these along with the ISO's? :P
